After what has seemed to us like an eternity, today we are finally getting into the studio to make our sophomore LP!

The past 8 months have been a flurry of compositional excitement we have been anxiously waiting to share with all of you. After hundreds, thousands, of hours locked up in our remote studio home in the South Bay of Los Angeles, we are finally emerging from our cocoon with a deep breadth of songs and musical landscapes that will form the shape of this album. We are oozing with the elation that creating something honest can only afford. The material, in our eyes, is fresh and true to Young the Giant, but we are also not attempting to run in circles and recreate what we have already done. We have come a long way since our eighteen year-old selves. Our eponymous debut was just the beginning of our journey, and it will never stop. Starting as early as May, we will be showcasing our new material at festivals all across North America, so you can be the judge.

We are partnering up with American record producer, music director, and friend Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, Air, NIN, M83 etc) to fully realize the final form of our next album. In the next few months, we will be providing all of you with behind the scenes footage of this next crucial step on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and our blog, “The Jacuzzi.” For all of you who have been anxiously waiting, we kindly ask you to wait just a little longer; nothing great should be rushed! We hope you tune in to our escapades, and it won’t be long before we play to all of you around the World again. Excited beyond all these words!

We are giving away 5 pairs of tickets to the Bud Light Port Paradise Festival, a 4 day cruise (November 16th-19th) setting sail from Ft. Lauderdale Florida to a private island in the Bahamas for a 2 day music festival where we will perform. The cruise, roundtrip airfare, food and tickets to the music festival are all FREE.
