We have some exciting news for you today...

Our debut full length record will be released in the United States on Tuesday, October 26th! The album is self-titled and will be released digitally in October and physically in early 2011. Its been a long time coming for us and we couldn't be more excited to share our hand work with you this October. Stay tuned for details on the pre-sale and more, coming soon.

Also, we are venturing off on another national tour this September, this time its with Marina and the Diamonds . We're stoked to be hitting the road again returning to some great places and awesome venues, and can't wait for our first show in Canada!

Due to this tour with Marina we unfortunately have to postpone our Troubadour residency (8/15, 8/22, 8/29) as well as one of our Casbah shows (8/30).

However, the 8/11 and 8/18 Detroit Bar shows as well as the 8/16 and 8/23 Casbah shows ARE STILL ON!!

For those of you that planned to come to the Troubadour shows, know that we intend to return to the Troubadour sometime this fall! In the meantime, please come out to the El Rey show with Marina on September 17th.

Hey Everyone,

We're back on the road again, and things are going well (besides a flat tire on the way to Colorado). This tour started out on the beach in Encinitas where we had a blast playing the Bro-am Festival. We are currently making our way back towards California after playing our first two dates with Steel Train in Denver and Salt Lake City. So far the tour has been great, thanks to everyone for coming out to these shows so far.

After 77 days of long hours in the studio we are excited to announce the recording phase of our debut album is complete and our record is now being mixed. songs are actually being mixed as we type this. We can't wait for everyone to hear all the hard work we've put into this record.

We have 8 more dates with Steel Train coming up, and we're looking forward to hitting a number of places we stopped on the Minus The Bear tour this spring.

As we near the end our first national tour opening for Minus the Bear we cannot thank you enough. Thanks for coming out to the shows, talking with us after, buying t-shirts, and making this tour amazing. We wrap up the tour this Friday May 28th in Portland and then make the journey back home to Los Angeles. We will be putting the final touches on our debut album in the first half of June and then we head out on another tour opening for Steel Train. We are excited to return to a few of the cities we visited on the Minus The Bear tour and look forward to seeing many of you again very soon.

SoCal's Young the Giant -- the indie artists formerly known as The Jakes -- are in the process of recording their Roadrunner debut with Grammy-award-winning producer Joe Chiccarrelli.

To showcase their studio progress, the band gave us a sneak peak at a new untitled track earlier this year, and now as they take a break from the studio to tour with Minus the Bear, we've got another as-yet-untitled track in store.
