Today, Young the Giant released "Mirrorball" and "Mind Over Matter (Reprise)," two previously recorded tracks that they're excited to finally be sharing digitally! Stream the tracks below, and learn more about them from Sameer:

"Mirrorball" was written in a flurry during the heart of Mind Over Matter. We always felt it needed it's own context and occasion as a song because it was for one, different from the rest of Mind Over Matter in feel and theme, and two, because now looking back on it, we feel "Mirrorball" was somehow prescient to what later became "Home of the Strange," in sonics, delivery, and drive. We hope you enjoy this little time capsule of a piece!

"Mind Over Matter (Reprise)" was recorded in Nashville with The Raconteur's Brendan Benson while we were on tour behind Mind Over Matter. We strived to recreate the power of the original recording while harnessing a more pastoral sonic. We wanted to reshape and re-tool with the same skeletal framework; strip it and re-dress it with new varnish. Benson even brought in the renowned McCrary Sisters to sing back up.
